Phlebotomist II - St. Francis Hospital & Health System - Beech Grove, IN (1.0) Float

This individual is responsible for collection of blood specimens following positive patient identification procedures.  In addition to handling blood, body fluid and urine specimens according to established procedures, they will also perform light clerical duties including but not limited to patient registration, answering telephone calls, and following through with all paperwork.

In addition, this individual will also be responsible for performing data entry or specimen processing functions.  This individual may also perform limited waived and moderate complexity tests as authorized by the Director.  In remote facilities this individual will act as a driver as required and will participate in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and / or training is required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• A background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred.

This position is located within St. Francis Hospital & Health System in Beech Grove, IN.

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
