This individual is responsible for assisting field personnel to meet the needs of our clients, including new client start-up, follow-up and maintenance.  This individual will also perform all needed client services functions including answering, directing and initiating telephone calls including notifying clients/physicians of alert values and documenting notification.  He/she will function in a service capacity with direct responsibility for handling client issues.  In addition this individual must maintain a highly professional attitude and appropriate behaviors as frequent and sensitive client interactions occur.  Be able to manage stress associated with work assignments and deadlines.  This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer a 2 year degree or in the process of taking college classes to complete a 2 or 4 year degree in business or healthcare field.

• Knowledge or experience with computers and the ability to troubleshoot problems is essential.  Must have good oral communication / human relation skills.  Good reasoning and organizations skills are essential.  Time management and the ability to work well as a team member are essential.

• Prefer at least six months at Alverno Clinical Laboratories (or related organization), as well as familiarity with Alverno Clinical Laboratories and Alverno Provena Hospital Laboratories.

This position is located within the Central Laboratory in Hammond, IN.
